Weird symbols appearing in html. Please help?

I am totally flummoxed by this major problem I have with ‘a href’ function of html code when writing in my blog and website. The problem also shows up when I view the link code for any website.

The following is an example of the types of symbols which appear particularly in the ‘a href’ section of code.

a=”þ”
a=”Ç”
a=””

This is an example of how the code looks: -

So far I have done the following, but to no avail:-

- Reinstalled font library to original XP fonts only.

- Changed my firefox font setting to UTF-8. (Problem also exists in IE7)

Still no success.

The only solution left is to do a hard reformat, surely this can’t be the only answer.

The problem is prevalent in my blog: http://solreka.com/blog (see link code in posts). Surely, this is harming my seo, and spider bot crawls!

Any help would be most appreciated. I desperately need to resolve this issue.

The problem is with your Blog Editor and nothing to do with your computer or the encoding you use. This is one of the “odd” link codes in the links about the Black Hole: a=”â”

That has nothing to even do with your browser since I can see it in the source code.
