HTML tags have a starting tag and a closing one. There are certain rules to follow that allow how those tags can be used and what attributes can be used with them. For example, you can use a
<table>tag in the root of the file, meaning in the <body>tag, but a <table>tag cannot be used inside another table tag without first using a table row <tr>tag, which then requires a table cell <td>tag inside. You can use then another table, but you must also close that table before closing the table cell which contains it.
The most common mistakes in writing code that is not considered clean is when using tags like
<body></body>tags, or image tags, that don’t really contain a close since the entire image tag contains all the information it needs. <img *parameters* />
While you may not see the relevance, understand this: code that isn’t properly written, doesn’t speak very well as to the efforts made to present the information to the visitor. Take your time, research the proper way to program your page so that it conveys your message clearly and without errors.
