How I can check the quality of architecture and coding of a web project?
I'm not a programmer and want to outsource the creation a website. How I can see the source code is in line with industry standards and best coding practices. Basically, how I can test or validation that the work is of high quality (ie, scalability, SEO, regardless of euros, the integrity of database architecture, etc)? Is there any software available for download or I have to hire someone to look at the code? I found a program called "police style" c # development. Is there one for php? Does this tool is sufficient for my needs? Thanks
The W3C has a number of validators available that scans the source file (S) and check for errors, not compliance, etc. Take a look at this in markup / HTML validator: http://validator.w3.org/ And for most validator: http://www.w3.org/QA/Tools/
