For SEO, does it matter if your site is in a subdirectory?
My personal portfolio site is a locally hosted WordPress blog, www.AndrewHainen.com. I also have a locally hosted WordPress blog for my blog, which is www.andrewhainen.com/blog. I have been using the All-In-One-SEO plugin and my blog has about 3-4 times as much content as my personal site.
I can never find anything I’ve posted on my blog in Google or anywhere else, and I’m curious if it’s because it’s in a subdirectory of my personal site. Does this matter? I realize the site is just starting, but I can’t get ANY search results to show regardless of how much I search.
sub-directory won’t matter. If your site is new then it might take some time for Google to start showing it up in their search results. Keep patience.
